About Us
Peeling trim, faded siding, and roof stains make your place look tired and they can lead to wood rot or leaks. We fix that with careful prep, the right primers, and durable finishes as your interior house painter, exterior house painter, and roof painter at Dunedin Painters in Dunedin, and we never paint damp wood or skip primer because that is what makes paint fail early.
Our crew has years on ladders and in living rooms, and we follow paint maker specs, moisture readings, and the Environmental Protection Agency Lead Safe rules when a home was built before 1978. We are careful with sanding, masking, and dust control, we plan around Dunedin weather, and we use primers and products that match the surface so your finish looks right and lasts.
Many paint jobs fail early because of rushed washing, wrong primer, painting over damp wood, or spraying without back rolling, which leads to peeling, blistering, and mildew. We avoid those traps with tested methods, clear pricing in writing, daily updates, careful jobsite protection, and start and finish times that we stick to.
Interior work covers drywall repair, sanding, caulking, priming, and two smooth coats on walls, ceilings, trim, and cabinets with low odour paints so rooms look sharp and you get back to normal fast, while exterior work includes pressure washing, scraping, sanding, spot prime, full caulk, and the right application method with brush, roll, or spray and back roll so the paint film builds right and seals out weather. As your roof painter we clean and treat rust on metal, coat tile or shingles where it makes sense, test adhesion, and use safety harnesses, and we guide you on timing such as repainting exteriors every five to ten years and busy interiors every three to five years or sooner if you see peeling, hairline cracks, water stains, or chalky colour, because skipping prep or painting in the wrong weather leads to early peeling, blistering, mildew, and costly wood or drywall repair.
